Production History

Reprise began as Dinosaur Bones, a short play written by Nora Germani for the Young Playwrights Program at A Contemporary Theatre (ACT Theatre) in Seattle, Washington.  Nora and I had a working relationship prior to Reprise based on our previous work on Emerald City, and after I read the original play, we decided to adapt the play for production as Black Tie Productions' 2015 Spring Musical.  This original production was so successful that we chose to mount another performance of the musical, revised and edited, as a reading at the Pocket Theatre in Seattle. Two years later, in the spring of 2017, we once again elected to produce a reading of the show, performed by talent from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music.  The material on the left corresponds to the original production of the musical, the material in the middle corresponds to the revised reading in 2015, and the material on the right corresponds to the most recent production in 2017. Reviews

I am unbelievably blown away by this entire production, and if teleportation was real, every single playwright and musical theatre actor I know would be summoned here immediately.
— Catherine Merlo, Seattle Opera
I reiterate my fervent wish that [Travis and Nora] will continue to develop this work.
